Just saw another article about how they’re trying to cut SSI/SSDI payments for disabled people who live with their families.

The level of malice and greed from these politicians is astounding…

I presume that means cost the US military $25bil? It’s presumably also cost Iran, Israel, and everyone else in the world.

What are some comparable costs for domestic policies? A website said Medicare for all is 3.2T a year. Others?

The guy said, “Right now, the war is costing us $25 billion” or something close to that. Is it just me, or is that weird phrasing? Wouldnt you say “The war cost us … so far” rather than use the present tense “costing us”?

pretty sure its more than that. 90bn in a month was spent on having luxury/bougie vacation experience for hesgeth and the top brass on the military.

And even by war standards the us has kinda done nothing?

    Bases in the area? Evacuated.

Allies in the area? Wishing they where not.

    Friendly Oil infrastructure? On fire.

Iran’s fighting capacity? Largely unchanged and now decentralized and acting independently (that is a bad thing for the us)

    The strait? Now double closed.

Us image as a superpower? shattered.

The USA is utterly unmatched in its capability to destroy things militarily. But for nearly 80 years has been utterly incapable of fighting a war.

Yeah I was going to say they can’t seem to hold territory at all, but this conflict showed they can’t even degrade the military of a near modern nation anymore. The logistics of the us military have also seemed to collapse if the state of their ships and lack of advanced munitions are to go by.
