The truth, since he wants people to know it, is they assassinated the leaders & military infrastructure hoping Iran would collapse. And when it didn’t there was no plan. Generals and regional experts presumably advised on the sheer stupidity of the attack but none had the balls to resign. So now there is an oil crisis, and when the war is over Iran will emerge from this even more entrenched and dominant than ever.

IIRC, I think there were multiple military leaders who resigned in protest during the buildup, and certainly over his current regime. That said, too many sycophants that still followed illegal/immoral orders.

The only thing I hate about people leaving in protest: it only hastens the downfall as the only ones left are the sycophants

I get it, that is a difficult question decision to make, should you leave for your own mental health and soul, or stay to mitigate the damage at the cost of your soul.

I didn’t fault them for leaving for obvious reasons. I can dislike the outcomes while understanding the reasoning for the action. I mainly hate that we have to get to this point where those are the options
