        how it looks in lemmy-ui (default lemmy web interface) when people do this

        @[email protected] out of curiosity, what client are you using, is it just the friendica web interface? presumably it doesn’t render the image that the post URL points at, which is why you put it again in the body? (or did friendica just do that automatically? 🤔)

      Apologies for further 'image recursion’ing this but:

      Typically, a url that points to an image is automatically displayed as an image, and then you also seem to have put the image in the body of the post as well.
