I’m currently suffering at work. Legally they are not obligated to give us 15 minute breaks. We can take “breaks” when there’s no chores or customers, and customers can walk in at any time, interrupting the “break”.

Waiting on my hair to dry so I can go to bed. At the time you wrote this, either sauteeing trinity or meat I had in the freezer from Christmas, or at the grocery picking up other things, or pressure cooking the meat, trinity, and other things for dinner. Hopefully have enough to last for several days.

Trying to learn how to program in Rust for the upteenth time. It’s frankly not even that hard, I just never get to do much with it, since projects are either so unimportant that they can be in Python, or so critical that I need to use something I’m actually sort of an expert in, like C.

Chilling by reading mostly, playing some video games.

I’m also mentally preparing for a job interview on tuesday, with four family members coming to help. I guess I’ll talk more about it after it happens.

I work at subway which is considered fast food at the end of the day. Korean law about working by itself is already fucked for office jobs, let alone food and service.

        Korean law about working

        korean

of fug…i’m so sorry you’re living in the worst korea, where the “law about working” is basically “let the bougies exploit you as much they can because you’re ‘truly free’ as a semi-slave in an usa outpost rather than a guy in dprk who basically is cannon-fodder for the ‘kim royalty’!!”

Watching Olympics. Being Dutch this means watching (speed) skating as it is the only thing we win at. But the upside is that we win nearly everything there.

Planted some new stuff on my balcony garden today. Going for a (mostly) native cottage garden container with a main function of attracting bees and butterflies. I have several other containers with natives and wanted to spice some things up. Also made a bee hotel last week to give them a resting place.

Rest of my time goes to working out.

That’s nice. I am afraid that I am too incompetent to keep plants alive, but I hear that succulents are easy to take care of.

I’m sorry to hear that. Currently I’m hanging out with my wife, watching stuff but already dreading work tomorrow. Need to learn to be more in the moment and leave it behind when I’m not there. Hope your shift goes quickly and easily for you.

I feel that. You enjoy most of your day then you see the time and go “ugh, soon I’ll have to sleep for work tomorrow…”

I’ve been terribly sick for over 10 days already. I’m taking antibiotics now, and mostly staying at home. But I keep getting out from time to time to bring food and other stuff to the indigenous occupation at the local headquarters of Cargill, the American company. The occupation is already 30 days strong with hundreds of people.

Besides that, I’ve been reading/watching stuff from Cowbee’s (now old) study guide. And coughing my lungs out, unfortunately.

The last time I had the flu I was bedridden for what felt like two weeks. Even without a fever, I could not go to work because if I walked from my bed to the bedroom next door, I would get light-headed. I hope you make a speedy recovery now that you’re taking antibiotics!

Just tested both the kids for COVID/FLU A&B. Both came up negative thankfully, but we’ll probably test again tomorrow if they still have fevers. We’re gonna watch Avatar the rest of the afternoon.

Hey everyone, I’m back! I’ve been off-grid for a year and a half bc I got a PhD position and didn’t want to lose it due to political background checks against “extremism” during the trial period (obviously these checks mostly got leftists fired -.-). It’s about a new way of mathematically tackling nonlinear PDEs and I’m extremely happy with it because I can finally apply my specialist knowledge towards something actually useful, at the forefront of research!

just chilling and watching curb your enthusiasm and getting ready to sleep. tomorrow tho i want to watch some courses about mastering lighting in 3d and do some more animations, tbh tho im pretty scared of character animations since it needs a lot of time for it to be good, but i really want to master it so that i can create my short film and other personal projects which i havent for a year. anyways, since i got fired this is what i usually do and its pretty great, since i was overworked when i worked, so im basically on vacation lol

I have never heard of Curb your Enthusiasm until about a month ago when random scenes would pop up on my YT Shorts feed. And then I find out the show has been running since 2000 (!!!). Is it worth watching? Was there any seasons you felt were lacking compared to others?

It’s absolutely worth watching. Every season is good, but earlier seasons are better. The one problem is that its a liberal zionist show, but palestine/israel only comes up once in the entire show. Its like 8.5/10 for me
