Fuck this dude and all, but if you get bitten by one of those, you best jam to the hospital.

Also, hospitals don’t hospitalize just because a patient is a “wuss”. Like going to the ER for a brown recluse bite is not a wuss move; it’s just common sense.

The story is three weeks old now, so I can’t throw out the “hope it kills 'im” bit, but it’s obvious going to the ER was the correct move given he was hospitalized.

I mean yes you do need hospitalization for debriding but unless you’re bit directly on an artery you’ve got a few days. The big danger in Brown Recluse venom is the necrosis around the site burrowing down, causing secondary infections. For most people with health immune systems you’ve got days before it’s more than a nasty black spot with moderate pain and intense itching around it.

Most people don’t realize they’re bit until a few days later when the mysterious bruise turns black in the middle.

I hope he takes his sweet fucking time getting there.

I’ve known a person or two who have been bitten by brown recluses, and both had a big scar where they were bitten.
