It warms my heart to see the absolutely catastrophic consequences that the regime is having on the reputation of federal prosecutors and the legal profession in general.

IOW, like with ICE, they will be getting undertrained, inexperienced people.

They filled ICE with white supremacists. That’s significantly different than “undertrained, inexperienced people”.
But in the case of ICE, both are true
Fascists don’t need lawyers, or law.
That is true, but only after they’ve completely consolidated power. This regime is flouting laws left and right and getting away with it, true, but they also are frequently stymied in the courts, which confirms that they haven’t completed their consolidation.
A war consists of many battles. They are winning many, but also losing many or being heavily delayed. Losses of talent and competency are not well mitigated by the fact that their replacements are loyalists, because they’re also bad at life, and by their mere existence are undermining their organization.
So, I’d say that this is a win, and a bellwether of future wins in the legal arena.
