“that way everyone will know my truck can handle super-sized duty loads, unlike the peasants who can only afford trucks with regular-sized duties”
The funny thing is, that ‘heavy duty’ badge is deceptive marketing, pick-ups at their heaviest are medium-duty, maxing out at class-3 with a GVWR between 10,001 and 14k lbs; true heavy-duty rigs are class-7 and class-8, with a GVWR between 26,001 and 33k lbs and 33,001+ lbs respectively, and those need a CDL to drive.
For further reference, the heaviest weight class you can get away with on a normal license in the US is class-6 with a GVWR between 19,501 and 26k lbs. Pick-ups are class-1 through 3 with GVWRs ranging up to 14k lbs, medium-duty chassis-cabs are typically class-3 through 6 with GVWRs ranging between 14k and 26k lbs, and heavy-duty rigs are class-7 and 8 with GVWRs ranging between 26,001 and 33,001+ lbs, which need a CDL to drive, like I said above.
But I guess selling pick-ups as their true weight class doesn’t move as much units as the deceptive ‘heavy duty’ badge on a light-duty or medium-duty rig.
Majority of pickups sold in the USA should require a CDL. They are semi sized death machines.
But grandmal likes to be able to see over all the other cars . It is easier for here to get in too. America will never improve ever. We are locked into our demise. Our elders have failed us.
We could definitely improve road safety by making less safe vehicles less easy. Without doing anything hard like changing infrastructure. Unfortunately, there are a lot of emotion driven large children who would get mad.
Idk if youve ever had to set boundaries with a child, but you kind of have to just do it. Firmly and kindly. No matter how they react
The EU already has stricter licensing rules than the US, IIRC.
It’s like with alkaline batteries. If it says “Heavy Duty” it’s got just enough juice to work in a TV remote.
Those are typically carbon-zinc cells. Alkaline cells are a separate thing entirely.
When the “heavy duty” truck man buys tires and they’re preceded by “LT”…
In my suburban condo I watched a little girl get into a truck with the automatic step up things so you can make the climb into it. Parked in the handicapped spot which he figured was fine I guess because hes just picking up. I was not always happy about life last millenia but man I don’t think I have been able to find any happiness without it being spoiled by just everything since we went into the teens.

Tell me your dick fails without directly showing it, (the picture).
They need it to handle their super doody
Super Duty is a branding term, not based on absolutely anything.
I bet most of its buyers never even have a need for a truck bed.
Truck beds are pretty damn stupid anyway. Sure there are some use cases for it, but 99% of people would be better off with a van, a transporter or a bus. But those are for gays. I need to transport a lit of manly square things that sit up inconveniently high up. There is a reason they are empty most of the time. They are dumb as hell. They are like an iq test for people who buy a car.
So my wife was the only girl of a mishogynist dad. We got a minivan and she was raised like a boy and they gave her shit like she was dick whipped (since they like the term pussy whipped). My wife did want a truck but I convinced her to get a minivan (it was oddly hard. I proposed we do a test drive in both and she faught it do to it being a sneaky trick or something. her dad did a number on her. and it was sneaky as the moment she climbed in easily and sat so comfortably she was sold). Anyway later my father in law needed to move a fridge. Whelp it was a bit to short to do in the truck without the gate down and he did not want to do it. So the brother in law came with his suv and yup. still do short. So we came in our grand caravan and loaded it up and closed the rear hatch completely. All while getting mileage like a regular size car (well not likely while weighted down like that). They are really amazing vehicles. You can move people or cargo and still get decent gas mileage because they tend to have nice aredynamic profiles. Helped someone move apartments and they asked like 3 times if it was pretty much empty before I said yes. Best car for a dog to come say hi to.
I once again considered buying a small truck yesterday as I tried to shove a wheelbarrow back into my car after loading it up with half a dozen small loads of landscaping rocks.
but it’s just not necessary, and it’s less versatile overall.
Is there a funny meme missing or something or is this just a shit post?
I feel like their actual train of thought is “heh heh… duty.”
