I’ve never liked the show’s conceit that they give the “answers” abd the contestants figure out the “questions”
You mean when somebody asks who is Tom Hanks? You don’t reply with "This actor got BIG in the 80s only to be Castaway decades later "
That seems like a celebrity jeopardy answer
It was Famous Toms for $100
sorry, no. you must phrase that as a question. as in ‘what is a jeopardy answer?’
I get it. My brother hates lots of stuff for no real reason, too.
“Hey, Who is Tom Holland?”
“This actor returns as Peter Parker in ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home,’ trying to enjoy vacation while battling new foes in Europe.”
“Uh… What?”
I like it because that’s part of the puzzle. They can get quite esoteric, especially when the category is about quirky language which increases the challenge.
I like it because when you respond in trivia you naturally can sound a little unsure. So phrasing it as a question sounds better to my ear.
It’s like a riddle I can see ancient people really enjoying jeopardy
I can see ancient people really enjoying jeopardy
Bruh, I’m only 41 😭
If I got the history right, it was kind of the wacky gotcha concept of the show early on, but famously humorless Alex Trebek took over and the show got weirdly prestigious and that rule stayed in place and kind of devolved into a verbal tic. whatis The answer?
Sounds like you’re in Jeopardy!
