thanks. we just got a costco bouquet. they haven’t had anything cat-toxic in them before, so this is surprising. guess we’re sticking with roses for the cats for a while
both cats are acting normally, so I’m hoping this is a plant misidentification but that shit is gone.
It’s not super bad, like lilies. More of an irritant than a toxin. It could also be true queen Anne’s lace, which is also mildly toxic.
My initial thought was poison hemlock, but Costco wouldn’t sell that. It grows in ditches around here and not everyone knows you shouldn’t handle it or make bouquets, since it’s pretty. It’s the poison that Socrates drank for his execution.
so what specifically is that so i can identify it in the future? pulled it just in case.
the ones in the little vases are plastic, the big vase is real.

hey, thank you so much for giving me your time here. i went into full cat parent panic mode for twenty minutes and you helped me through.
I’m so sorry! I’m sure they are fine! I stress about plants and cats a lot.
me too! and no worries! i’d rather be safe and have two cats than cocky and have no cats
