Crazy guy he doesn’t like Graham Platner with Nazi tattooos murdering kids and DSA members who compromise with genocide.

And he doesn’t think every single thing China or Russia does is good and thinks people should have more international solidarity. Craziest guy on the planet. Absolutely insane.

Being anti-Israel and not apologizing for murderous imperialists like Platner is an extremely low bar (one that much of the compatible left in imperialist countries don’t clear, but still). I don’t recommend getting your politics from youtubers or streamers, but from actual Marxists / MLs. There are plenty out there doing great work, writing and organizing, who don’t spend all their time getting in pointless fights on twitter, and denouncing every socialist project.

Is it? I got banned from Hexbear for posting a video of BE calling out ChapoTrapHouse because they supported Platner. Being against Graham Platner a few months ago was akin to being an “anti-left utra”. It’s quite literally because of BE that the entire US left had to steer clear of endorsing a genocidal Nazi US marines doing tours at Abu Graib.

Something in book form doesn’t spontaneously make it better than it being in video format. BE also identifies as a Marxist and writes (but these days who doesn’t.)

In any case his criticism here are very much valid. Cuba has been a leader in international solidarity. Joining the fight against Apartheid South Africa, educating many doctors and sending aid missions all over the world. But now the US has set its sights on Cuba. And it’s up to others to help Cuba. But sadly Cuba has been let down and international solidarity isn’t what it used to be. Now US imperialism is getting its way with Cuba, and Cuba has to reform to appease the Gusanos. This isn’t Cuba’s fault. There’s no way Cuba can take on the US by itself. It’s the rest of the world that has failed Cuba.

That doesn’t sound right. I don’t know the circumstances of your ban, but I don’t see anyone supporting imperialists like platner on hexbear, I would think it’d be bannable offense supporting him. Most marxist spaces don’t like BE because he’s an ultraleft who demonizes most socialist projects, and is also extremely twitter-poisoned and has cringy takes on other topics.

It’s quite literally because of BE that the entire US left had to steer clear of endorsing a genocidal Nazi US marines doing tours at Abu Graib.

You’re vastly overestimating the importance of some youtuber.

We shouldn’t get too caught up in putting all hope in external saviors, it’s not the way any communist project has operated, including Cuba itself. They did the work to liberate themselves and free their country from US domination. They’ve already been through this before during the special period after the fall of the USSR, and will continue to modernize and do what’s necessary to be self-sufficient.

It’s an ultraleft tendency to demonize other socialist countries for “not doing enough” to help, usually demanding military intervention and getting sucked into quagmires and afghanistan-like traps. It’s not anyone’s place to demand intervention or what form it takes. The PRC is choosing to do economic, and not military intervention, to help Cuba. That’s their decision and its not for ultras to criticize.

That’s weird because ChapoTrapHouse supported Graham Platner. Chapo invited Platner on their stream and glazed him and… they’re not banned… In fact they’re the largest community on Hexbear?.. But they got really mad when called out on it. Turns out that cult of personality isn’t a BE thing.

            He’s rude though.

Well yes, but actually Cuba forged ties with the USSR to survive the US crippling blockade after the revolution.

Cuba is right next to the empire and has no way to survive without international solidarity. And “self-sufficiency” is not how Cuba has operated afterwards either. Cuba has heavily invested in international solidarity, always being a frontrunner on international solidarity with both medical help and much more. It’s only fair people hope that the favour will be returned now that Cuba needs it.

The demand isn’t military intervention. It’s ignoring the US sanctions on Cuba and delivering oil and resources to Cuba anyway. What China is doing with the solar is great but Cuba just isn’t getting enough to get by. Because Cuba is losing some of its most defining socialist policies as a result of the blockade.

The US recently grabbed Venezuela basically for free. Seeing everything in South-America fall for free is just sad.

You’re vastly overestimating the importance of some youtuber.

You’re vastly overestimating how many “leftists” got in line to stan for the Abu Graib Nazi and only only changed their position because someone dared to call them out on it. And the person who did received all the pushback and slander till this day while the Nazi defenders all stay out of the crosshairs and just slowly walked back their position which conveniently never gets brought up when their content is posted. And somehow anyone who posts BE content must believe that BE is right about every single thing if they don’t think ad-hominems are a good reply to his content.
