Once upon a time, humans liked to read articles written by other humans. Since these human writers were capable of doing more than just predicting the next token, they were able to maintain a sense of coherency and continuity through their articles and could write lists that referenced other items, especially when they were closely related, instead of each item just following an intro, brief description, conclusion format that gets quite repetitive. But then text predictors got good enough to predict coherent sentences that are often even accurate and can follow a given theme or topic and websites thought no one would care since it was mostly marketing and propaganda by then anyways and dropped the human writers into active volcanoes.

It’s more the thumb and fingers that need to be aligned to hit both spots at once.

And mods are another direction customization and replayability were taken vs using cheat codes.

Yeah, pretty much. Line up the two fingers so they are side by side (also, as another comment mentioned, middle and ring can work better than index and middle, but use both to help with endurance), and move your thumb forward and fingers back to that their tips all line up.

Though do you count that even though one of the characters is obsessed with his romantic entanglement outside of the group, to the point that I’d consider Mary a part of the group with how much she’s there. Iirc each of the other characters pairs up with someone, too.

Not to mention people being too lazy to want to do even basic maintenance. Also companies that prefer to sell something people need to keep buying over and over might not offer a longer term version.

Forks need to earn trust and it’s best that that step isn’t skipped by some inheritance. Not that there even is any obligation to hand it off no matter how many people rely on it or complain.

And the comparison with ms or Google was dumb because I didn’t expect them to do it the way I wanted and stopped using what I could to get away from where they were going and any expectation that they hand over their projects to someone else would be ridiculous (and Google open source projects have been forked).

Have you mentioned yet that anyone can do that second one by making their own fork? And that no one is required to give a fuck about how they think it should be done?

Marketers shouldn’t have gotten involved until they knew they had a solid product. Without the hype they generated, there wouldn’t have been the reputation hit. And without the heavy volume produced to try to meet a demand inflated by hype, they could have fixed at least some of the issues.

Though it sounds like the root of the problem was that no one who had power over business or engineering decisions had any passion for making a great drone.

I’m curious if their current CEO has more of an engineering or business/finance/marketing background, which would put them in the same pattern numerous other once dominant in their market companies have fallen into.

Though there’s a non-zero chance those replies are made by someone with a vested interest. It’s annoying how both those and people who have just drunk the koolaid are pretty much impossible to tell apart.
