I’m in Chicago. Plentiful pedestrian options. We have 100 degree days and -20 days. There are by far fewer pedestrians when it is cold than when it is warm. It’s not even comparable.

So you maintain that there are the same amount of pedestrians when it is 80F as when it is -20F? Does that mat make sense to anyone?

It’s not like there are many pedestrians in Minnesota in November. Places where it is warm year round would correspondingly have foot traffic year round.

Many places also use the US military as a deterrent in lieu of having their own defense. Poland just requested a large US base to deter Russian invasion. South Korea would certainly be in trouble if we left.

On his podcast, Job Favreau (the former Obama speechwriter) revealed that he was mistakenly invited to the event because they thought he was Jon Favreau the actor. They didn’t realize their mistake until he submitted his ID for a background check. Lol

I used to have to drive past this fucking thing on my way to work. We banning those too?

The way it’s always worked is the president can’t unilaterally declare war. Let’s not pretend we are still bound by precedent or rules anymore.
The Dalai Lama goes up to a hot dog vendor and says make me one with everything.
Edit: The Dalai Lama pays for the hot dog with a $20 bill, but the vendor doesn’t give him any money back. The Lama asks for his change. The vendor says change must come from within.
How many impressionists does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Two. One to paint the giraffe blue and the other to fill the bath tub with ping pong balls.

To me it all depends if the hobby is about the prints or the printer. If you just want to make stuff with minimal tinkering and effort, Bambu is what you want. If you want to customize, tweak, optimize, etc, then Prusa or Elegoo are both solid choices.

So it’s 100% certain now that he is going to declare the election invalid to keep Republican majority control.

It’s exactly the same with Hillbilly Elegy and JD Vance. He hates the same system that got him to where he is. He needs to believe that he was a special snowflake and that he succeeded through his own superiority.

Okay, they have the right to vote, but HOW do they vote? If my mom wants to vote, I can’t go vote in her place as a proxy, so a person couldn’t vote in proxy for a corp. Does a company have to be 18 years old to vote? In Delaware you need a state ID or a social security number to vote. Can they get those? So many nonsensical leaps in logic have to be made to make this possible.
I love how most of the replies here are people spitballing ideas for fixing the government, as if there weren’t a bunch of nations who have already solved these problems which we could take inspiration from. Basically every democracy that was founded after us has looked at our mistakes and fixed them in one way or another.

If you can’t admit the difference between Trump and previous administrations, you aren’t being honest.

I think it is fear, not hate. They fear trans people, Muslims, and immigrants. The left tells them this fear is their problem and they have to change. Trump tells them that not only is their fear justified, but that he can protect them from what they fear.
There are a bunch, but I think this is the original.
IIRC this happened in Illinois as well. A female gorilla who had babies in the past picked up the boy, took him to the door to the enclosure, and patiently waited to hand him over to the zookeepers.
