I don’t want a tool to avoid Flock cameras. I want a tool that uses my Bluetooth to turn Flock cameras into bricks.

I think it’s the right call. If they locked it down so it would only run Steam, it would be no different from every other console.

The last company I worked for decided to cut HR, and they ended up cutting the only useful HR people. They cut the local HR staff who handled interviews, hiring, payroll, benefits questions, etc, and moved all those responsibilities onto other managers who already had too much on their plate. Meanwhile, all the regional and corporate HR people who do nothing but whine about dashboard numbers got to stay.

I’m American, and I can genuinely say I feel absolutely nothing about the 250th anniversary. Any vestiges of patriotism I had have been pretty effectively amputated over the last 25 years or so.

It’s on a desktop, not a laptop, which is why I didn’t encrypt it this time. But, the more I thought about it, the more it worried me that someone could just pop out my drive and get instant access. I live in the US and it’s starting to feel like they’re going to start breaking into houses looking for banned material any day now.

My head canon is that this happens because Microsoft’s security team is feuding with whoever developed this particular software.

I doubt it needs a constant connection, but maybe it needs periodic calibration or something that requires an internet connection 🤷‍♂️
