  • They seem to be completely oblivious to the fact that internet infrastructure in the US* is horrible and a lot of people outside of major urban areas have shitternet that makes streaming games laggy and unreliable. Unless they spend serious money upgrading infrastructure, it’s just going to be Stadia 2.0. Except even then people still really do not like gaming as a service so it’ll probably fail again anyway.

*I don’t know how good other countries’ internet is but I would include them if I did.

  • Ozempic causes GI issues, such as paralysis, and numerous other issues like fatigue and depression because starving yourself isn’t healthy. Just exercise and eat a better diet. Exercise is so good for you that fat people who exercise are actually healthier than people of a healthy weight who are sedentary. No fucking way would I ever go on a weight loss drug.

  • I graduated last year and have been applying to jobs manually. I did very well academically and have done multiple projects to put on my resume. Still getting nothing. Nothing seems to actually matter anymore. I had a discussion with a friend of a friend who is a manager in a different industry. She says she doesn’t even see actual applications anymore, she just receives garbage AI summaries, and most people who apply just get filtered out immediately. So honestly, yeah, just go blast companies with spam applications, and hope their AI randomly decides that your resume is good. Or try your luck doing it manually and hope the company doesn’t have a shitty AI filter.

  • If you need to haul extremely heavy stuff than you should be using that truck for work and only work. There’s no good reason to be driving a massive truck like that around to do stuff everyone else does with a normal car. Unless you’re in a rural area, no one driving a normal car wants be around your hog, especially in the cities where space is much tighter. And clearly OPs image is an urban area cause there wouldn’t be a parking ramp otherwise.

  • I graduated last year. I’ve sent out hundreds of applications and still nothing. Had a few interviews in the first few months but haven’t gotten anything since. I just do odd jobs while working on my own stuff like game dev. I feel like it’s gonna be at least a few years before the job market recovers. Once the AI bubble pops they’re going to be sorely missing a lot of talent. Don’t feel bad if you can’t find anything right now, there’s a lot of other people who can’t either.

  • I’ve experienced the other side of this. I know my mother had a hard time at first, and for a while she was mourning me, which was weird to experience, but eventually she realized I’m still the same person and I’m just being more myself.

My best advice is to listen to them. My mother was very convinced it was a phase for years and wouldn’t let me take hormones despite the very many times I tried to prove to her it’s not. Eventually she agreed and after my first appointment she told me she’d never seen me that happy since I was a little kid.

(Not every trans person wants to medically transition and that’s okay too. That’s why I say to listen to them. They know what they want and have probably put a lot of thought into it already.)

  • Every genre has genuine effortfully made games and also cash grabs. I feel like many monster catchers get subjected to undeservedly high levels of criticism because some people seem to think that Nintendo should get to own the entire genre. Pickmon imo is definitely a cash grab but there are many other monster catchers that aren’t.

  • Vibe code bros aren’t real programmers. They’re business people, not computer people. Even if they have a CS degree, they only got that because they think it’ll get them more money. They lack passion and they don’t care about understanding anything. They probably don’t even care about what they’re generating beyond its potential to be used in a grift.

I graduated college not that long ago and my CS classes had quite a few former business majors. They switched because they think it’ll be more lucrative for them but since they only care about money they didn’t bother to actually learn the material especially since they could just vibe code through everything.

  • As a new grad, I honestly feel like AI output is worse. It gets stuff wrong pretty frequently and even I, as a new grad, at least know enough to notice when it is wrong. These days I don’t use it at all, cause reading the docs is faster and also more accurate (and also cause of all the other issues with AI too).

Execs are desperate to get a return on their investment into AI, which is the only reason they push it so hard, and eventually the slop is gonna blow up in their faces.
