  • Lololololol the president of my company went full AI shithead recently and he posted how it was a big deal that they were going public and he was talking about how he see it as a great investment to purchase shares and I asked how it was a great investment to get shares of a company severely in the red and my comment got deleted in a few minutes

Edit: we also got claude code for everyone in the company and they are monitoring token use (as in we need to use a lot) and I asked if they were concerned that the token price would rise if the board of directors of anthropic suddenly wanted to make a profit and that comment also got deleted (this was in a virtual townhall so we can ask stuff, usually they just ignore the ones they don’t want to answer but they were actually deleting them this time)

  • The director of my division just got sold on Claude and is now forcing it on us

He was able to create a database with our products that you can search and sort easily by a lot of parameters. He said he’s been in the company for more than 10 years and it was always difficult to find our products (only PMs and sales need to do that activity)

I was just thinking, if any competent engineer had to do that more than once they would have made that database, the issue is that most people who are promoted to managers and above are incompetent

  • For sure, but also stop glorifying bad material. Star wars have 9 main movies and maybe 2 or 3 are good and the shows are hit or miss or have a lot of unnecessary archs just for the sake of extending the playtime (+ disney)

    Marvel: see above

I appreciate they Harry Potter got me into reading but the story is full of plot holes and the author is a TERF

there’s a lot of good material don’t by not problematic authors that deserve more attention

  • I use them by genre. A drama or action movie needs a very high score for my tastes.

Comedies usually a 6 or 7 is going to be good for me and a very high score usually means it’s a dramery.

Horror movies with very high scores are usually mainstream over produced like the conjuring. Good horror movies usually are 6-7 like the witch or hededitary

And also, if a movie has a very high meta critic but a very low user rating it usually means the movie will be weird af
