2·11 days agoBefore video games and cable TV, I read a lot of books. I can remember reading Call of the Wild and White Fang in elementary school, “childrens” classics like Tom Sawyer, Robinson Crusoe, Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, 20000 Leagues. Encyclopaedia Brown was a favourite childrens series of mine.

121·22 days agoI haven’t used Google search since 2008, when I starting using Linux and Duckduckgo was the default search engine for Firefox.
Not that I’ve had this, but going through an old cookbook of my mom’s, I came across a recipe for Mock Turtle soup, which called for calf brains.
