Was it worth it once the combat did start? I had been slightly interested in that game.

Someone mentioned in a lower level reply, but Startrek and the Orville are great for political / social commentary.
I think a fair amount of sitcoms have some element of educating on social norms. Seinfeld and Its Always Sunny maybe require more prior knowledge about subject matters, but covering things like abortion, immigration, racism, etc.
Mythbusters and similar are pretty good about being “adult” science shows.
Maybe documentaries don’t really count as “entertainment” the way you’re looking for, but Planet Earth is a great series.

A lot of people posit that they’re doing the construction work because the shows weren’t selling and they needed to stop hemmoraging money and bad publicity. If you were tracking their ticket sales you’d see they couldn’t move tickets at all after Trump kicked out the old board.

What do you recommend instead for $30-40?

Like many any media tied to a specific culture, it assumes a familiarity with the culture - in this case shinto beliefs and japanese folklore. If you’re unfamiliar with those things then a lot of the rules and situations seem to be random and come out of nowhere.
A similar scenario would be like watching Scream or Scary Movie without having seen the movies they make references to. You might still enjoy the movie, but without the context of the films they satrize/parodize you won’t fully appreciate what the movie is doing.
It makes it an understandable criticisim, accesibility of a movie is a valid complaint. However, I don’t think it’s one that necessarily reflects on the quality of the movie, but rather is a warning about who will appreciate it.

I’ve used this setup - https://github.com/Steam-Headless/docker-steam-headless

Another Crab’s Treasure - Its actually a pretty fast paced and fun souls like.

Back when I could only afford a game every once in a while oldschool rpgs were great. They took forever and some had decent replayability (like pokemon or classes in FF). Nowadays they just feel like a slog.

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted for your opinion.
Personally, I don’t think you’re wrong, but that’s also not really the point of the movie. It’s not trying to make a spiritual world with hard rules per se. It’s more about growth and uses the spirits to set the stage for conflicts for the main character to overcome (with the consistent stake of losing herself/her identity)
Like many studio ghibli films, it’s about facing pivotal times in our lives and overcoming fears so we can better face the challenges of everyday life.
My neighbor Totoro has the kids moving to a new place and dealing with a sick parent, spirited away is about moving to a new city, whispers of the heart is about first love and how to decide what to do with your life, Kikis delivery service is about heading out into the world. In many of these movies, the fantastical is used to present these challenges in a more approachable way, but the “stakes” are almost always internal and personal.

Actually most job growth has been in Healthcare, a field that is very resistant to AI right now. So if you remove that I think the trend is even less significant (and probably not anything that holds up to much scrutiny).

Its also very dangerous and they’ve avoided being labeled a “sport” to avoid certain regulations. According to this article it accounts for over 50% of catastrophic injuries in female athletes - https://www.sportsmed.org/membership/sports-medicine-update/winter-2025/flips-falls-and-fractures-the-reality-of-cheerleading-injuries
It may have gotten better in recent years, it’s been a while since I read up on the subject.

Maybe it’s just Debian based systems, but last I tried (about a year ago), hibernate wasn’t provided out of the box and requires some serious work to setup. And that has been an issue for years.
Looking online it seems like secure boot is/was the issue - articles from 2025 seems to imply it may work now, but may require some additional steps to make work.

I mean hibernate is a broken mess on Linux, part of the reason Linux as a main driver never quite worked for me.
In what way is Ukraine a battering ram? All the issues you point to are internal issues in Ukraine (even if we were to believe that they are NATO backed). I never heard a Ukranian backed assault on Russia (until after Russia invaded). Even if we believe everything you claim none of that indicates a planned attack on Russia.
Best case you’re arguing that Russia is making a pre-emptive strike because they believe there is some external threat from Ukraine in the future, but that seems kinda weak.
So I understand the point you’re making about NATO vs Russia.
But with Ukraine, all the events you point to are more akin to civil war/civil unrest. I don’t see how that directly conflates with Russia’s invasion being just. Especially since there is little evidence of Russia directly suffering from that unrest and all evidence points to Russia actually fanning the flames of that conflict leading up to their invasion.
The thing that’s extra backwards is that if you’re claiming Russia’s war is just, by those merits Israel’s war is more just. Iran’s government has repeatedly called for the annihilation of Israel and it’s not even disputed that they provide funds for Hezbollah and Hamas. Not to mention Israel has actually been invaded in recent history.
I don’t think either is just, but Russia’s stance is more tenuous than Israel’s, which is why this graphic seems to be pushing a narrative more than anything else.
Okay, but what’s the justification for supporting Russia from that perspective, what makes that war “just”.

Yet again, very damning and revealing of his character, but just a statement (so no evidence the event actually happened) and also about a married woman (not underage girls).
If you want harder evidence it’s better to look at the court cases - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_sexual_misconduct_allegations. The number of court cases, the evidence brought up through them, how they were handled, and the mysterious circumstances some were “resolved” is what gives the access Hollywood tapes their weight.

I mean, if you’ve got hard proof of the pedo stuff please share.
As for the rape, I think he was found liable in a civil case where the burden is less than in a criminal court. Looking into it he was found to have sexually abused E. Jean Carroll in a civil case. However there is a sworn deposition from his first wife’s 1989 divorce disposition in which she states he raped her (Source), however that was never prosecuted.
I personally don’t need more evidence than that, but sadly America doesn’t seem to be swayed by this kind of information.

The pedo stuff is still not “proven” and things like Iran he’s still somewhat removed (was it him vs hegseth, was it intentional). The thing with this is it is unabashedly in the open and he’s the one directly calling the shots.
Not saying that it makes it better or worse, but there is no whitewashing it. He’s directly paying himself and his cronies from taxpayer dollars, he’s literally saying it himself.
Thanks for the info, that sounds like it may be worth passing on. The story looked like it had potential, but I heard mixed-poor reviews when it came out.
