Almost makes me regret having bought a maxed out version about a year ago. Just kidding, I’ll probably upgrade the trackpad, but apart from that it’s the best laptop I ever owned. Sad that you have to swap the whole input cover but it makes the swap easier, it’s just 5 screws.

I will buy that machine though when ARM takes off. Until that, battery improvements from introducing even lower power cores and bigger batteries does just seem like a quick fix to keep x86 alive.

I’d be interested to hear a potential use case where both applies:

• Steam deck is a viable option as work computer
• MS Windows is the better choice for the task

Never understood how the solution to all platforms going to shit is making users upload their ID. This does neither fix the problem nor the symptom. I mean, I understand why it’s done but not how people come to think this is a good idea.

I’ve started doing podman quadlets recently, and the ini config style is ugly as hell compared to yaml (even lol) in docker compose. The benefits outweigh that though imho.
