Actually, my kitchen is separate with a door and everything. I’d count it as a “real” room if it was large enough for a table.

People living in single room apartments: Fuck me, right?!

Failed how? Everything I heard from various trials was massively positive, it’s just that people refuse to vote for parties that would implement UBI for real.

Money can buy goods and services. One way or another, they’ll have to redirect money flows.
I suppose changing how the police and judicial system works might help while saving money. Having the world’s highest incarceration rate is actually pretty expensive, and it’s devastating in terms of knock-on effects for the affected people and communities.

Coldmirror, if you speak German

They certainly have a different style of external propaganda that seems to work much better than what the Hitler regime was doing.
WDYM “they got the whole outside”, most of outside is human agriculture and infrastructure.

I found that it had a lot of substance. Great show.

Parks & Recs season one was pretty different from the rest of the show - not necessarly bad, just different, e.g. several popular characters didn’t exist yet. TBH I don’t remember when exactly they introduced substantial changes, but I think it was the start of season two.
Edit: Ugh, autocorrect changed “with” to “without” so I fixed it. I hate it when my machine silently changes the entire meaning of my sentence to its exact opposite!
Shit like this is why I never use autocorrect. I’d rather have a few typos that a completely butchered sentence.
Edit: But somehow, I keep making mistakes that look like I used autocorrect. IDK what’s going on there.

It means that the source code of the application (e.g. the Lemmy website/server) is available to everyone. Everyone can spin up their own personal Lemmy server. The difficult and sometimes controversial part is that I don’t necessarily know whether a website is running the publicly known source code.
The content you create with it is not part of what makes an application open source or not.

Thanks, I didn’t know that steel is often an alloy with such high amounts of other elements! I only went off the carbon content, which is usually around 1%.

IMO, steel should get a pass. The atomic element of iron still makes up like 98% of most steels, and when you look at the history of smithing the difference between iron and steel can get pretty hard.

Aren’t they still using adhesive tape?

The worst games to lose in are those where you bet money you don’t have.

What about this sounds sad?
Users, not posters. People who regularly post might well be 80 people, reddit had an even worse ratio.
Popular posts still get >1k votes on Lemmy, so unless most of them are bots or sockpuppets that proves that there are more than 80 people who consume Lemmy content.
Subs, Japanese voice actors just have a completely different style. And I’d probably need subs for English dubs anyway (like I do for English-language live action movies/shows), because English is not my native language, so there’s barely an advantage.
