idk man the doner kebab I had in Berlin was way better than in Istanbul. Istanbul still had excellent food, just not the kebab for whatever reason. Maybe we just didn’t try the right place.

Had some amazing Indian food in Bordeaux.

Seems pretty similar to DBOS

I never hear the end of complaints from my mom about how her EV’s range is too short and takes forever to charge.
Doesn’t Matrix do everything you just listed?

Where did you get the idea that Zig is an “easy” language?

Copyparty. Or any other web file server.
Most of these takes seem pretty agreeable to me. I would push back on the premise a bit in specific cases, like when you have a manager that always seems to want something new and changes their mind all the time. You need to insulate yourself from that stream of wasteful work by just not doing it until it’s obviously necessary.
speed alone doesn’t make someone a good programmer
OP didn’t make that claim. They said all else being equal fast is better than slow. They also said that in their experience, the best programmers they knew were good because they were fast (not withholding other potential reasons they were good).
Your point is consistent with the OP’s thesis.
Rootless docker exists now. Not sure why people still don’t use it.

Real history that explains how existing power structures came to exist. Not the bullshit history that schools teach, which is just wrote memorization and usually ignorant of the most important themes of class struggle.
Judgement call. When it’s something prone to change that’s hard to get right, duplicating it just creates more maintenance burden.

Fair point. Self hosting is a luxury. I don’t think having a hard drive for backups is that expensive though if you already have the digital tools for creating manga.

If programmers are the victims of the theft, should they not be entitled to the technological fruits born from the crime? God knows this justice system isn’t going to find the AI companies guilty.

Don’t use any company’s storage as your only copy, or even as your main means of access. Self host as much as possible.

That’s a crazy take. AI companies are worse than slave labor?

Even the good guys are falling
…
Python: I thought they were the good guys as well
It seemed like you were implying that people using AI are bad guys.

Oh geez it’s almost like using a technology doesn’t automatically make you a “bad guy”.

The span of time pressure is so long though you barely even notice it. And because it’s a core mechanic, it’s mostly inconsequential and doesn’t really feel stressful for me.
You should file an issue.
