Depending on what he means by “serious”. I don’t know what hat means in context of languages. So, depending on his personal definition what “serious” means, Go might not be serious at all.

Python is designed as an easy language. Yet it is a fundemental important language in the IT, backbone of many Linux operating systems and servers. One could even say… a serious language.
I personally wouldn’t care if a language is called “easy” or not. You should also look at what it is capable at its peak and where it is used most often, if it works for you. Pick the language that you think fits you the best. I wouldn’t call Zig as an easy language to get into, its still low level language.

There is an extension called DeArrow, that replaces video titles from the community. It can also replace thumbnails. Another method is a setting in FreeTube app to set Thumbail Preference to automatically replace with in video screenshot. Maybe those applications does one of those things.

I have trust issues.

Dude…

Which still does not say how much space you would have left after filling that space out. As said, I rather give you the advice if its not very clear from the post, instead leaving your drive rotting and losing your data. Again. We are giving you advice so you don’t lose your drive and data, not trying to hurt you. I find your replies annoying too, yet decide to clear things up.

Calm down, I’m not trying to hurt you or being toxic in any way. I just tried to help you not to shoot in your foot. And yes, I have no idea what you are actually doing, that’s why was giving the advice. If that information was in the post, then I would know its alright.
Now imagine you would not know that and would not have reserved additional space. How do I know this? If no one mentioned this (to help you mind you) then you might would lose your drive. Trust me, losing drives with data you want to keep on it is really bad, I have gone through this multiple times since I use computers. So don’t get mad at people trying to help you and giving you advice. If you have that space, then everything is fine.

Well I explained it. You can do whatever you want, I just explained that leaving space is good advice. If drives do not have enough space to operate the data freely, that will cause the drive to fail quicker. And deleting a game would make sure you have plenty of space left for the operating system and drive to operate in a safe and optimal way. This will ensure the performance stays good and that the drive does not wear down as quickly. That’s why it’s a problem.

Last update is 3 years ago. The project is dead. /s (just joking around BTW)

Well, that wasn’t a “complain” as a default by me. Its a valid choice (besides Fish I think), I just don’t agree with that choice. What I meant is, if I don’t use this default anyway, then why would I need to install the distribution of it? It’s like choosing Kubuntu to install, only to remove it and then turn it into GNOME. I know this is an extreme example, but hopefully that makes it a bit more clear what I initially meant.

I used Manjaro for 1.5 years. It was relatively stable, with the exception its package manager, as it was buggy, especially with the AUR. Let alone using the AUR could create problems with packages depending from the regular repository. The holding back of repository also had another issue for me, as updates could take forever if they missed the update cycle of Manjaro. Also I didn’t like the team much too. My point is not here to make look Manjaro worse or anything like that, just talking about my personal issues.
I switched way before the team fall apart, to EndeavourOS. And it is exactly what I was hoping from Manjaro to be, just closer to Archlinux. As to your stability issues with CachyOS. Do you think its the Nvidia driver (as you named your card specifically)?

I used both when I was a tiling window manager user. Kitty is feature rich and has everything I would want. I would prefer over Alacritty, because I miss feature. However on my last OS installation, I kept Konsole (from KDE) as terminal emulator before I did all the basic setups and was planning on installing Kitty again. But it turned out that Konsole is excellent and there was no need to change, so kept using it.
Why did you dislike Kitty?

I used Alacritty and Fish before and I’m not interested into the features and complexity of BTRFS. Alacritty is a fine editor and wouldn’t mind using, but it lacks features to me and there are better alternatives. I would prefer Kitty. Right now I use Konsole and that’s good. Fish on the other hand, is more problematic to me. I use the terminal a lot and I am used to Bash, even write lot of Bash scripts. They are very similar, but still different and not compatible; so for me its a struggle in the terminal to remember the differences between Fish and Bash. There is 0 reason for me to use Fish and prefer Bash.

Just because it is based on Arch does not mean it is bigger. Look at Manjaro or many other Archlinux based distributions; they have less users on gaming than base Arch.

To me Cachy is too opinionated and does too much. In example I don’t like they went with Alacritty, BTRFS and Fish shell by default. If I have to change the deafults anyway, then why would I need the distribution? The only thing that would be of interest to me is the custom Kernel for gaming optimized performance. I think that can be installed on Archlinux too, but I never tried it. Therefore I prefer EndeavourOS, which is basically Archlinux easy mode for initial installation and setup phase. I wanted to try out Cachy too, but there is just no reason for me to use it over Endeavour.

That’s because of the bloat. xD Archlinux is a minimal by default, that’s why its smaller. And yes, I know exactly what I’m doing here.
I need to test this with multiple distributions in a virtual machine, out of curiosity. Then test executing common tasks. Could be an idea for a blog post or YouTube video…
