  • Then build out more infrastructure, for Gods sake. Take the Texas grid for instance. It’s held together with duct tape and spit. Just the wind blowing the wrong way and suddenly half the state’s without electricity.

The answer is to use public spending, because the power companies want artificially low supply, since that means they make more money.

Of course you also need to install new infrastructure to let consumers also offset the grid, but again: artificially low supply.

It’s basically a rigged market at the behest of the power companies. You could innovate, but there’s less money in that in the long run - so you won’t.

  • Read history, bro - instead of suckling at the feet of Putin. Martial law does not exclude democracy, as democracy is more than national elections and representative democracy (not that you’d know anything about that) - but a change in government can actively sabotage defences and weaken a nation to be overrun by a foreign agressor 👏 while 👏 the 👏 nation 👏 is 👏 being 👏 invaded.

But tell me how Maripol being leveled is somehow good for renovation plans.

  • What part of martial law do you not understand?

A country being invaded can be and will be overthrown if possible. In fact, it’s been done many times in European imperialist history.

That’s why the clause exists, even before democracy was normalized in Europe. Just find someone else in line for procession and install a puppet prince.

It’s even been abused. Some speculate that Trump would trigger martial law to stay in office - or even Netenyahu himself clinging to power.

In the end you don’t want a captured government. That’s also historically been really bad.

  • Every damn time the Democrats take over they fix the deficit into the positive. Then when Republicans take over, they put it in the negative. Then, come the generals again, the Republicans blame the Democrats for the deficit - every 👏 damn 👏 time 👏 - and their voters still swallow it. This is because of several reasons:

    1. Voter turnout has been historically low the past decades
    2. The Democrats take “the moral high ground” and avoid pressing issues
    3. The Republicans go low and lie their asses off
    4. The Democrats - AGAIN - won’t press them

The progressives need to dump the moral high ground. They need to say aloud what everyone knows: the Republicans have been ruining the economy for decades. They need to encourage voter turnout and to call the Republicans anti democratic because they want degenerate lowlifes who watch chud streamers to go against the teachings of Christ and turn the US to Russia #2.

The high road doesn’t work and actively empowers the Republicans.
