If you’ve been thinking it seems like there are more wars raging in the world these days, it turns out you’re right and the data proves it.
A new study by researchers at a university in Sweden recorded the highest number of conflicts between states in 2025 since World War II, and the highest number of fatalities recorded since the Rwandan genocide.
Ahh, yes. It’s almost like the WORLD is currently AT-- WAR?
What will this period of time be called, I wonder?
I know! A WORLD almost at WAR.
“What is this, some kind of World War?”

I’m having a hard time with my inner voice reading this comment. 😅 Not sure how to intonate or stress these words lol
I mean… we’re seeing the impact of the conclusion of Pax Americana. There was a lot not to like about that era, but one of the very specific key benefits is that there was a lot less conflict on a global sense. Now that our government has decided to be thoroughly idiotic and xenophobic, there are a lot of domains in which all bets are kinda off - militarily/strategically, economically, socially, technologically, scientifically, medically… we can go on.
A power vacuum always leads to interesting times. And this is shaping up to be one hell of a power vacuum.
Feels like the world economic is also coming to a head as well. When America cannot pay down it’s National Debt, and other countries find it feasible, a World War will help settle a lot of issues. Economic, social, land boundaries, etc. It certainly won’t benefit you or me though.
I don’t want more interesting times. I want boring and predictable in terms of societal issues and social stability.
No more wars! No more stupid conflicts! No more secret societies and global domination plans!
A lot of people really thought the relative peace and stability of the last 70 or so years would be permanent.
End of history = Pride before the fall
Hear that Fukuyama! Motherfucker!
Good lord that image is so over the top it looks like AI slop. (It’s not.)
