I did back in the 70’s. I worked at Firestone tires after school and weekends for about 5 years. I changed tires (swapped old for new) and did on car wheel balancing. Towards the end I would fill in for peops who were sick etc at different locations. Had a blast.

We were around 17 and went to cruise Yonge St strip as was cool to do back in the day(70’s). My buddy was 6’6” and I was a round butterball. We did the strip and then buddy says umm I am almost out of gas, got any money. I am broke. He says let’s mooch some money. I mentioned we do not look very homeless. Opens his trunk and there are a number of of disgusting old work clothes. We put them on and proceeded to mooch. We made so much we half the tank with enough left over for a fast food meal. Never did it again. Felt kind of guilty but we were young and foolish.

I am talking the us right now not other countries. One can always find an exception to the rule. IMO it is unsafe to travel in the us right now compared to how it used to be. Again IMO why would I take the chance if I don’t need to. Also I do not travel anywhere anymore as I am old and do not feel safe pretty much anywhere these days compared to travel in the past due to either age or times.

I have only used backup USB drives. Never have used a backup service ever. I use Acronis to back up my systems and then copy the TIB to the USB drive as well.
