I think I’ll have to start that soon. Apparently teaching and leading a bunch of juniors to deliver better than their pay grade isn’t as valuable. I guess they think they can get rid of the juniors and have me do the same with cuckoding.

The landscape has shifted dramatically with the promise of big profits from higher productivity / labour cost reduction. Corpos used to be pretty strict with policies against putting proprietary code anywhere external. Now it’s all like - yeah shove it in all these third parties’ mouths, including sometimes competitors, it’ll be part of your perf review. It’s crazy. I don’t think any of this is going back to the previous posture. The profit growth promise is too great.
Might be using something cheaper than Claude. Contracting agencies aren’t known to pay a lot.

Asset allocation funds might still include it. Your Vanguards and BlackRocks.

A head injury sustained from reading history. American presidency didn’i start with Reagan.

Anthropic is helping the US National Security Agency deploy its powerful Mythos AI model for offensive cyber operations, embedding engineers inside the agency despite an ongoing legal battle with the Pentagon.
Wait, I was told only China, Russia and North Korea that did offensive cyber attacks and espionage. 🤔🤔
What’s all this copper in? That’s a large motor-worth of copper.
If they want to tackle this problem they could add a separate low power tracker embedded in the body somewhere. Prolly not doing it yet but if they do you’d have to know where it is to cut it out.
Soudns like a good time to go spend some money in the gay village bars then. Perhaps march in the parade. I’d like to see the parade without the corpo floats. I recall the Montreal parade was much less corporate than the Toronto one. Lots of unions and other people orgs. The communists were at the very front of the parade.

Perhaps a COVID vaccine.

That’s a diff type of worm. :D

Right but MacBook Air is still incredibly expensive compared to Neo or other cheap laptops. Just not in the same category.

Err have there ever been cheap laptop option from Apple for Apple customers to turn to?

Reminder - AI does not need to be able to replace anyone to lead to layoffs. All it needs to be able to do is increase productivity in some sector by some measurable or perceived, or expected amount.

Yup. And platforms like Play/Amazon/etc. are even further away from markets than big box stores because people don’t all see the same items for sale to choose from, which is fundamental to the functioning of free markets.
BTW I’m not a fan of free markets, but for the limited set of economic use cases they serve well, at least they gotta function as such.

I think one reason is that given the stage in capitalism we’ve been living for some time now has completely fucked people’s understanding of what markets, competition, monopoly power, and so on are. Not people’s fault really. We live in this system, we observe and learn about it from what it claims about itself. We have to do extra work to have any different understanding.

I like Valve as much as the next guy, but Google showed us that having choices and not holding 90% of the market doesn’t mean you can’t exercise monopolist power. Sure Valve isn’t Google. At least not yet. Given they aren’t publucly traded and their current ownership being what it is, there’s better chance they won’t turn into what Google did for a while.

As opposed to - what about the protesters - in response to a statement about balamce of power against a regional aggressor?

More good news. This region won’t stabilize unless Iran is able to show that the US cannot significantly diminish Iranian capability to legitimately threaten the safety of Israel.
So you’re saying you’re becoming a problem for business velocity. 🤔🤔🤔🤭
