First game I ever made custom tracks on… as like, a 5 year old. I was more into making tracks than racing them, which is something that hasn’t changed in the past few decades.

Maybe not my biggest pro, but I was able to customize my UI way more than I ever could on Windows. I made an FFIX theme for my wife and I might make an Earthbound theme for myself whenever I get around to figuring out how to make a customized window style.

Is the phone integration a iPhone thing? My KDE Connect app lets me text and share files pretty easily, plus a few other nifty features, but I use Android.

Subs; aside from being better quality typically and me reading pretty fast, I also understand enough Japanese to get what’s going on. If you do it for over two decades, you get used to it.

Ironically, my Japanese wife sometimes makes me watch dubbed because she sometimes works with English VAs as part of her localization job, lol.

I guess I’m making do with hobbies and nostalgia. Like, when picking up my kids, I used to listen to NPR to stay informed but now I just get the headlines and listen to radio stations I listened to as a teen. Hunkering down, since most of the bad news is rather out of my control.

Reminder that it’s not just paying for infrastructure; it’s the amount of force applied due to trucks and other heavy vehicles. Americans generally have heavier vehicles, which results in more potholes compared to places with more compact cars.

My city very much pays for pothole repair but the number of trucks and full size SUVs/vans are pretty high so we’ve got potholes o’ plenty. It mostly just means every other day this major street I live on seems to have a crew doing a repair.

Both great things to wake up to on this Saturday, which as we all know now, is one day from Sunday.

Indeed, I made that change in 2020. Going meatless for a few days also isn’t bad. Lentils and such are real cheap.

It’s kinda bananas that people think that’s even ok… why even ask you? We all have access to LLMs, if I wanted an AI response I’d just talk to an AI. It’s not like boomers using voice to text or something, it’s more akin to setting up an out-of-office reply.

I’m playing Arc Rise Fantasia, as part of the Wii RetroAchevements event. I never even heard of it but 15 years later, I think it might be my favorite “Tales Of” game while not being an actual Tales Of game (the scenario writer did Symphonia and Abyss but was allowed to go darker and more serious with this).

It flopped tremendously because of a terrible English dub and being a JRPG on Wii. The English VAs are practically reading from a script in one take and the hundreds of skits aren’t voiced. The undub patch is a must, as the Japanese VAs are phenomenal and most of them are still working so you might recognize them.

Its IP is under Marvelous but developed by a defunct developer so it’s probably never going to see a rerelease… though, I guess anything is possible. Even if it did, I’d wait for a sale, hehe.

Hell, I plan for the week, even. I’m the kind of person who doesn’t tend to write things down so it helps me organize my thoughts. I used to do it with homework assignments but now it’s like “kid needs to see her speech therapist on Thursday.”

If it helps, I recall reading something that suggested that even if you’re not asleep, laying there with your eyes closed will still help you feel somewhat rested. But, admittedly, knowing I have to get up at 6am or something still sucks regardless.

Never, but I like conversing with my internal monologue in my head. I’m not quite neurotypical, but I have been pretty good (trained?) to rein in any out of control thoughts if they ever wander by using bait I know my brain can chill with.

When I was a teen, it was sexy stuff. Young adult, plot points for a novel setting I’ll probably never write. Lately, it’s just plans for the day (I sleep so much faster now than I used to, though, since I changed my sleep habits after having kids).

Plus, my own monologue makes sense of how I’m feeling and gives me pep talks! That’s probably a product of coping with abuse, but it’s nice none the less.

I bet there’s a way to literally have NPR mixed in every hour with the live broadcast version I hear on FM, maybe using their podcast link (NPR News Now). They seem to have an Apple music link, so maybe there’s a way to get it to play on the hour every time it’s updated.

I’d look into it but I don’t mind just listening to my local FM, lol. KCRW kinda already has my weird vibe of music.

Even more obscure, since it never got shipped to NA, but a South American friend suggested it to me saying it has Shadow of the Colossus vibes. Which is good, haha.

Frustrating that I can’t tell. Typically if something is absurd with proper proportion, it’s AI, but in this case, it’s not even that expensive or hard to pull off. Any other telltale signs? Lighting? Inconsistent stuff?

It’s true, I’ll only vote for a primary candidate who brings this up with a serious plan of action.

But I’d like to go much farther left than Harris. We need systemic reform or we’ll never recover from this last (four and a half!) decade(s) of ruinous policy.

I like that your daily games lately have been (very random) nostalgia, haha. That said, I say this as I boot up yet another underrated Wii game nobody heard of but is weirdly good (Arc Rise Fantasia).
