      We had bags of milk in elementary school. Kids used to poke a hole through the woman on it’s chest and drink her milk. Guaranteed every day there was one kid that poked it through too far and spilled a bunch everywhere.

    It always annoyed me when customers wanted their gallon milk jugs bagged when I worked as a store clerk. “Ok, here’s two more layers of plastic crap for this one item that already has a carry handle you weirdo, hope that’s actually enough to keep it from popping through the bottom and bursting open on the floor.”

    Was particularly unpleasant that one time the double bags failed before they even got out of the store.

        We usually do cloth bags these days but I don’t see why not.

        Serious answer for those unaware

        It’s pretty common in certain parts of Canada to buy milk in bags. They usually come 3 bags in one larger bag, the whole thing totalling 4L (so 1.3L per bag) which you’d put in a milk pitcher. You can get cheap plastic pitchers at the grocery store or nicer ones from kitchen stores or pottery fairs. I personally have a nice pottery one from a local potter. The pottery keeps the bag cold for much longer on the counter or table, plus it happens to look nice.

          Do you guys cut the back and the front or just the front?

          I grew up in a front only house, but my spouse is ADAMANT that you have to cut both sides.

          I get the argument, equal pressure, but it’s just not enough volume it’s an issue. Even if you pour out the whole bag it just compresses due to the vacuum.

            Front only, our pitchers also had a slit in the front to close the bag. You’re supposed to squish most of the air out to keep it fresher and close it to keep the milk from picking up fridge smells.

            I grew up front-only too. When my wife and I got our first apartment together, we tried front and back for a bit but it didn’t do anything noticeable so we just do front. Like you said, since it’s a bag it compresses easily. If it were a hard plastic for some reason, that would be a different story. I know there’s a strong discourse on it but after trying both sides, I’m a firm believer in the front-only technique.

              So… you and your wife experimented with the front and back holes when letting the milk out, but the back didn’t do anything noticeable, so you are a firm believer in front only

              Bro, you live in a POLICE STATE. Epstein (alive), both the Clintons, Hunter Biden, and Donald Trump and beyond play a functional role as “cops.” As in, they get this bad media coverage, and the average person isn’t paying mega super close attention to both sides of each story that breaks while these people get reamed by each opposing news side, and thus the unscrupulous talk about “business” with them. And Trump is garbage, but in the same vein, that homeless guy on the light rail saying the n-word and smoking fetty is ALSO a cop. A “festival cop” is called a “pot head,” if you didn’t know.
