It’s crazy to me that I’m a year older than JD. When we were younger we probably watched the same show on tv. Ate the same snacks, listened to the same songs. Yet I grew up to be well adjusted and open minded to the world and different people and their identities. And JD grew up to be a POS racist, pedophile protector, and couch fucker.

Im an identical twin. I lean anarchy, he leans fascist. How does that happen? Probably has something to do with the people surrounding you as you grow up. Not necessarily your family, but your classmates, teachers, friends, etc.

I understand fascists to mostly be opposed to introspection as a core unifying rule. Having the opinion that therapy is bad, or that self help should be entirely uninformed by empathy for yourself and others more specifically.

Dude sounds like he had normal human values, then he got some power as a politician and now he is just living a persona to appease certain people. I still can’t believe he is a Marine.

I am a Marine and even after I retire I will still be a Marine. The Vice President left active duty and they served honorabley, so they are still a Marine. To be called an Ex-Marine is a derogatory comment typically reserved for those that were forced out or basically have been determined can no longer claim the title.

Honest question, why do people who are not active call themselves a marine? Let’s say you’re retired, too old to be in service, would you refer to yourself as being a marine or was once a marine?

It is an earned title, once a Marine, always a Marine. If you made it through boot camp then you’re part of the gun club forever. It isn’t necessarily that hard to get through boot camp, tens of thousands of high school / college age people do it a year. But earning your Eagle, Globe and Anchor is an emotional experience typically followed by a 4 year roller coaster of training, deploying overseas, and losing friends. If a stranger with no context says you don’t rate a title you earned for life it is upsetting to say the least. Cynical people call most of the things Marines do is propaganda.

And the broadcast network loses their license renewal in, oh wait, that already happened. They don’t lose the broadcast license but it’s a big thing, it’s locked in for a long time or something but they have to fight a big long legal battle or something I forget.

The problem is that Vance’s knee-jerk reaction to being challenged by a woman is to patronize or dismiss, and an all-female panel in front of an all-female studio audience wasn’t going to allow that. He’s also terrible at being, or even seeming, off-the-cuff and candid. When he said that Trump’s economic policies were going to “pay serious dividends” and Behar immediately asked, “When?” his smile began to wear thin as he hit back: “Well, Joy, what happens is that construction jobs build the factories and people go back to work.” It was condescending and weak all at once.

They already did, I read about this like a week or two ago in reuters. They are trying not to renew their broadcasting license saying the view is news and not giving equal time to republicans or something.

Too bad Reagan and Rush Limbaugh worked hard to kill the Fairness Doctrine in 1987, releasing the Conservative Propaganda Machine from any restrictions. Now, 40 years later, he thinks it should only apply to the Left?

That’s not how it works, unless you are another incompetently arrogant MAGA, who is frequently wrong, but never in doubt.

MAGAs never figure out that the swords they pull out to attack The Libz, always have two edges, and can be used against them, too.
